I might be going overboard with the Instagram.
From “The Defenestration of Derb”:
Here is a typical example of an extremely common response. (I took it from the comment thread on my April 12 TakiMag column, but there are dozens like it elsewhere — given the web-wide volume of commentary on this piece, quite likely hundreds.)
Please…
Um, okay. Have a cookie, special snowflake.
Don’t like them? Don’t go to them. It isn’t that hard to find good entertainment on the town that doesn’t involve thumping music or getting drinks spilled on you.
Also, the way this is put, it looks like you don’t like clubs because of all of the stereotypically portrayed women in what some people would consider “slutty” clothes. Don’t forget that there are other people who go to clubs, like other men. No need to pick on women who are just having fun.
There are plenty of other reasons to dislike clubs. For instance, the too-loud music, body odor of other people, being harrassed by other people, being danced on unwantedly, or having drinks spilled on you. You could have portrayed those aspects of clubbing in your picture (which would have made your dislike understandable and relatable), but instead you choose a bunch of ridiculously-portrayed women taking pictures of themselves.
tl;dr: calling misogyny on the image
Good lord.
Liberalism in a nutshell.
This is false. In Leviticus, a set of laws for humanity was laid out in order to atone for their sins. When Jesus died on the cross, he sacrificed himself so that God would forgive our sins. If a Christian is quoting the laws of Leviticus, they have absolutely no ground to stand on.
